CALL TO ARTISTS!

RHINO Contemporary Crafts Co. is proud to announce an upcoming exhibition
“My New Orleans: Personal Impressions of a City in Transition”.
We would like artists to interpret and expand on their personal impressions of
New Orleans life, culture, food, art, and music. Let your imagination go, beyond the stereotypical New Orleans, not just the “Fleur de Lis” and Mardi Gras.

The “My New Orleans: Personal Impressions of a City in Transition”show will open
with a reception in the RHINO gallery from 4 to 7 pm on Friday, November 5, 2010,
and there will be a closing reception on Friday, December 3, 2010.

The show is open to all visual artists and craftsmen in any medium, 18 years or older. Artists may submit up to 3 pieces, each no larger than 15”x15”x6” for wall pieces or 15”x15”x15”pedestal pieces. Due to space restraints smaller pieces may be given preference. All work submitted must never before have been exhibited in the RHINO Gallery. A panel of jurors will curate the show, selecting works from among those submitted.

Completed applications with $25 application fee must be postmarked by August 1, 2010. Late applications with $35 application fee must be postmarked by August 15, 2010. Images included with completed applications received by August 1, 2010, will be given additional consideration for use in promoting the exhibition.

Delivery of Artworks selected for the “My New Orleans: Personal Impressions of a City in Transition” exhibition must be received by the RHINO Gallery between October 1-10, 2010, to allow for installation.
