My mission is to create Functional and Artistic Pottery that brings a sense of decoration to the home making the everyday ceramic piece, a piece of art.
As a full time Wife and Mom, a retired Classical Ballerina, Instructor, Choreographer, and now a Potter, I have been inspired and encouraged to express my creative ideas throughout my life. My pottery work is a combination of wheel thrown and hand built techniques. This allows me to create the essence of physical and graceful movement, working shapes and lines into the clay. My passion for pottery continues to keep me involved in the development of visual movement.
Another great love of mine is cooking for my family. I assemble beautiful and functional pottery pieces that will enhance my kitchen. I fine that I use these pieces constantly in preparing my family recipes and would like to share these practical art pieces with you.
My work has appeared in several Galleries and Art Shows in Alabama, Florida and Louisiana. My creation of thrown cylinders have won competitive awards from juried art shows in the south east area.
