Fall Show and call to applicants

RHINO Contemporary Crafts Co is proud to announce an upcoming exhibition of fine crafts entitled “Location, Location, Location.” The show will open during the National Association of Realtor’s annual meeting at the beginning of November, 2014 and will focus on home, place and architecture.

The exhibit will be on view for three weeks (November 7-30) at our gallery in The Shops at Canal Place.  There will be an opening reception on Friday, November 7, to which all participating artists and conference attendees will be invited.

A panel of jurors will curate the exhibit, selecting work from among those submitted.

All mediums are welcome with the exception of giclee prints.  Each piece may be no larger than 16 x 20″.  Free standing pieces may be no larger than 15 x 15 x 15”.  Items will be for sale with 60% of the price retained by the artist and 40% retained by the gallery.  Artists do have the option of not offering their entries for sale.  We would like all the work submitted to be original and never before exhibited in RHINO Gallery.

The deadline for applications is August 15.  Send in your digital images of completed pieces with your application and a $15 application fee as soon as possible.  Images received by Aug. 1 may be used in promoting the exhibition.  Applicants will be notified if their work has been accepted by the end of September.

All work must be received in the gallery between October 10 and October 20 to allow for installation.  Please make sure your “Location, Location, Location” application is complete and include your “Hold Harmless Agreement” and “Artwork Descriptor Pages” for each entry.  After August 15, late applications will be accepted with a $25 application fee.  Email Peg Martinez or Tamra Carboni with any questions at artboxrhino@gmail.com.
